It’s easy to do a road trip to discover Spain and all it has to offer. It’s also very easy to cross the border and see what’s on the other side like maybe in France or in Portugal. And in Andorra of course!
Despite this, I have to admit, I haven’t yet done a full Spanish road trip. You see, Spain has one inconvenient for me: it get’s hot!! Like really hot and it’s something I was reminded during our last stay in Madrid. Boy did I suffer!! 😉
As you can therefore guess, my 2 favorite trips to Spain were in winter. Those were perfect for me!! Sunny and warm but not scorching. With fewer tourists as well, so that was a double win.
Now I really want to go back to Spain and see more. I love the architecture and especially the Moors’ influence. Spain also has some very well preserved Roman edifices which I want to see.
Needless to say that there are so many UNESCO sites in Spain (47 as at 2018) that it is a no brainer destination for World heritage buffs, like you and I!!
A word on corridas? I will never go see one, for sure. It is a barbaric practice that remains when there are so many, much more interesting, things to see in life. Thankfully, it’s easy to avoid!
The places I’ve managed to tell you about, so far!
Below you will find direct links to the (too few) articles I’ve managed to publish so far.
The places I’ve been to…
The main cities I’ve been to are Barcelona, Seville, Madrid and Bilbao. And yeah Tenerife as you saw above. Here are a few pictures of our latest trip to Madrid, to, hopefully, keep you waiting for more!
I loved Bilbao! The Guggenheim museum is out of this world. Really got to find those pictures to show you! And in Bilbao, I had the best and most original vegan sushis I’ve ever had. Weird, I know!
