Welcome to RTatW update report! A little series where, every now and then, I share with you some personal info, updates on my life & on RTatW of course, as well as sneak peeks, etc…
Hibernation season is almost over!
As you may have realized by now, I’m kind of a special breed of humans?! The type that hibernates in winter and come back to life with spring! Is this weird? I can’t even tell anymore. Since I’ve been a consultant, I’ve fully embraced the freedom I get and therefore the freedom to hibernate!
Let’s be clear, I don’t sleep all day! By hibernate, I mean that I retreat, at home, as much as possible.
When not working, because work doesn’t completely stop! I craft, I read, I take online classes, I try stuff, I day-dream, I drink tea, I draw…. sometimes I dance in my living room, but that’s a secret! Basically, I avoid social engagements as much as possible and recharge my batteries.
Is it weird to need a whole winter to recharge? Maybe. Most people usually retreat for just a few days. I need more time.
Now, the aspect of this I like the most, is that winter tends to be my most productive period of the year, in terms of creation. As I mentioned in my last update report, it was clearly the case last year. This year, for reasons you know by now, it wasn’t so much the case. I’ve come to peace with this.
So spring is coming, and I feel it deep inside. I’m about to come back to life & it feels good!
Enough about me, what’s new on RTatW?
Well, ok! Let’s see?! I’ve taken you to Stockholm metro to see beautiful art, as well as other places in Sweden. We went together to see the most beautiful cathedral of Denmark and a precious one in Germany. Overall we stayed pretty North, so I’m guessing for the next month or so, I might go a bit more South. Actually, I’m considering talking about France a lot! You’ll understand further down below!
New map!
Did you see my latest map about Denmark? I hope you like it? Please like it! It took me so long to finish it.
Destinations…
Since I can’t seem to catch up with all the places I want to tell you about, I decided to add pictures to my destination pages. This is to show you some of the places I will be telling you about in the future… an undefined future!
My Danish gallery or my US gallery aren’t working to my liking at the moment, but it still gives you some ideas.
It made me realized how much I need to reorganize this ‘destination’ section. I’ve been to at least 40 different countries and this destination page only list 10. It doesn’t even have a French tab?! I’m French for God sake! Really got to do something about this! lol
Strasbourg, France!
This shows I had no idea what I was getting into when I started RTatW! 😉
VERO
Have you tired Vero yet? What do you think? I tried and most times, I couldn’t post anything. I might try again!
You can look for me, if you want to. I think I registered as Miss Coco. I’m not even sure!
Upgrade series
My Dear, at the moment, my Upgrade series, is not going where it should!
I like to think that I’m a ‘disruptive thinking’ type of phase. Realistically I may simply be overly critical. And at times, maybe a tad judgmental!
On one side, I also feel that there is stuff, I need to get out of my system. This shows in pieces like ‘Waiting for a Blogging revolution‘ or ‘Bloggers dirty little secret‘.
On the other side, I feel that grief is holding back my happy / forward self. It will get better.
I Hear you say: “I thought you said enough about you?!” Yeah well, just trying to explain what’s going on!
GDPR and other policies
You may not have noticed this but I added in the footer of the site, 3 new sections:
This seems slightly boring but I actually did try to make those fun! That’s subject to debate of course.
The first reason for these policies is linked to a new European piece of regulation called GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) as explained in the Private Policy. If you wonder what information I have about you, if you have concerns about subscribing to RTatW newsletter, you should read this policy.
I’ll probably soon write a specific piece on the topic of regulations affecting bloggers and online businesses in general.
The other reason is because I have more and more content available and I thought I needed to clearly state that my maps, drawings and so forth, are subject to copyright regulations. It’s not ok to steal my drawings. Yes it has happened and I wasn’t too happy about it!
So just to be clear here: my maps, mini guides and drawings are free to download for personal use. Go on a road trip! Explore a castle. Send a postcard to a friend. Print for your home (and send me a picture!) They are not to be used for commercial purpose or for publishing on your own site without credit. Fairly simple!
What’s coming?
France is coming! And a new map.
If you’ve read my last newsletter, you already know, such map is slightly different from the previous ones. And if you want to see some of the drawings that will be in such map, you got to check your inbox, because RTatW next newsletter will soon be out!
By now, I thought I would have finished such map, but I haven’t. I’m very sorry, but I do think the wait is worth it!
What about my big project? Shuuuut I really can’t talk about this now! I’m sooo behind! And it’s growing bigger and bigger, in my head at least. No clue how I’m going to manage.
Any travel plans? Maybe! Kind of. I’m taking off to see my Dad and then… we’ll see.
I know I previously said I’ll be sharing a lot more in my Instagram stories. Unfortunately, it proved to be incompatible with my hibernation phase. Maybe spring will change everything!

Happy Spring my Dear!
