We spent last week-end in Paris, I’m heading to Brussels today and we’ll be in the Loire Valley next week-end….
So much things to do, so many places to go, so little time!!
Did you know that the Grande Place in Brussels is par of the UNESCO World Heritage list?
All the buildings surrounding the town square date back mainly from the 17th century. Richly decorated, they form an impressive and eclectic blending of architectural and artistic styles. It is of course a very touristic square.
One of my favorite nearby place is the Galeries Royales St-Hubert. Opened in 1847, they are one of the oldest covered shopping gallery in Europe.
Apart from the Grande Place, the Galeries Royales and the old city, I’m not such a big fan of Brussels architecture which is too much of a mix and un-match to me. Maybe this day trip will change my mind?!
Have a lovely day!!
