They kicked me out!
You’ll have to be a little patient if you liked my designs. Life is hectic but I will find a new place. Maybe even a better one!
I received a message titled: Important Updates to Your Society6 Artist Account
And here is part of the content:
As Society6 continues to evolve, we are making strategic changes to our marketplace structure to better align with current market dynamics and customer preferences. While our community has grown to include over 400,000 artists and an incredibly diverse catalog, we’ve decided to operate as a more focused brand with a smaller group of artists.
Regrettably, after careful consideration of various factors including market trends and customer needs, we have decided your account will not be included in the curated group of artists moving forward starting March 18th, 2025.
This was a difficult business decision, and we want to express our sincere appreciation for your contributions to the Society6 community. We understand this news may be disappointing, and we wish you continued success in your artistic endeavors.
I seriously doubt it was a difficult business decision!
I get it. I was never a top selling artist, I wasn’t very active. I didn’t pay for any plans when they introduced them.
Maybe most importantly, I didn’t think I fitted in. I loved it at first, but it soon became a burden as they kept introducing new products. I just couldn’t keep up.
No hard feelings here. I knew I had to change but time is limited and I never got around to handle.
What happens next?
I do need to find a new market place. I’m looking for one. Some are more sustainable than others. Some are easier to navigate. I haven’t decided yet.
