4 AM in San Francisco. Very tired. Very jet-lagged. What to do? Put on your shoes and go for a walk to explore the city was what we decided to do because we enjoyed our previous day ‘morning’ walk so much. Exploring San Francisco at dawn is a treat!
Exploring San Francisco
Below is the outline of what we did on our second morning in SF. We walked pretty much all the way apart from a bit of the way back where we finally found a bus which saved us from exhaustion. Circa 14 miles of walking enabled us to sleep like babies that night!
Here’s a few pictures taken along the way:
Pier 39 and famous Bubba Gump
This sea lion doesn’t smell 😉
Alcatraz at dawn
The Golden Gate Bridge in the distance
Famous Ghirardelli
Lombard Street
Lombard Street from the top and on the other side
Breakfast time!
The Palace of Fine Arts
The ‘dogs’ beach
On the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge
Back in the city
A word of caution: in this previous post, I highlighted the fact that we did this because we knew we would be safe as we had already been to San Francisco a few times and were confident where we were going.
I do not recommend, in any way, walking in an unknown city at 4AM!!

This is the kinda post I was searching for. Sometimes I can’t find what I’m looking for from Bing but it seems this time it worked for me! Thanks for your help.
