Dear Readers, fellow Road Trippers, Map Lovers and World Explorers,
It’s been a while since my last blog update so I thought I should give you some insight on what’s going on! In my latest blog update post, I told you I was consciously uncoupling from my agenda! And that is that, things haven’t changed much 😉
OK don’t go just yet, there has been some big changes on RTatW, some kind of ‘behind the scene’ and some more obvious…
Life in General
Life is 10 percent what you make it, and 90 percent how you take it – Irving Berlin
I was super up when coming back from our last road trip and the “back to reality” hit me hard. Maybe because this road trip was so incredibly great. Maybe it’s because I have too much on my plate and keep adding.
You know this feeling I’m sure, when your brain won’t shut up and ideas keep popping and there’s only 24 hours in a day… Most of the time, it’s great to be so inspired. But sometimes it’s overwhelming.
Anyway, I will somehow manage, and small daily to-do list have helped quite a bit already. Plus, I really like the above quote and I try my best to live by it. It’s all about changing perspective…
Other random news:
I have a jigsaw! Told you this is a random news! 😉 I haven’t used it yet but I have big plans. We’re going to be best friends and she (yes it is a she) is going to help me create some great stuff… It’s all part of a bigger plan… ah ah, can’t jinx it!
We’re taking Argentine Tango classes! You have no idea how long I have waited for this. Well it seems to be forever. I must brag and tell you that we’re doing pretty good! Yes, a trip to Argentina will be on the menu for 2017!!
Some Travel Updates?
We celebrated Mr A Birthday in an unconventional way… Oh actually, I can’t tell you about that!
We managed a little trip to Paris which is almost a miracle.
We made it to Manchester which was a trip down memory lane for Mr A. I can’t wait to show you the John Rylands Library. Just stunning!
We also made it to Mullerthal, finally! It’s only 45 minutes away from where we live, so it shouldn’t look like an achievement but it was!!
I ruined a perfect long week end road trip to the Netherlands by getting sick. Last time I had a cold was 4 or 5 years ago so getting sick before that particular trip was a real bummer. Now, the good thing is that I was particularly creative during that time!!
We’re heading very soon on a French/Spanish Road Trip. Much needed!
Blogging updates
You probably noticed that I finally published a new mini guide. If you haven’t downloaded it, you should, it’s a work of art, sweat & tears!! And you will eventually find it interesting.
RTatW is finally on Facebook!!! Come and say hi!
You may remember a time where there was a comment section on RTatW. I was going crazy with spams and decided to delete this option thinking that I would just connect with you on Facebook. It just took me months to get there!
It may seems weird to not create a Facebook page at the same time you create your blog. Everybody will tell you to do so right away but I had my reasons for not doing it. Times have changed and I now hope to see you there and connect. Do let me know what you like and what you would want to see on RTatW. I’m eager to know!
RTatW Newsletter. That’s a biggie for me too!
I’ve been meaning to have a Newsletter for a long long time. But you know what, it’s a scary thing and a big responsibility.
I wanted my newsletter to be of real added value to you. I wanted to create something very special. I didn’t want to just push, in your inbox, the link of my latest post.
I still have work to do and some getting used to, but it’s taking form! So, do subscribe by using the form in the side bar or on the bottom of this post!
Mailchimp
To handle the technical aspects of having a newsletter, I finally decided to register with MailChimp. If you’re not a blogger, you probably don’t really know what that is except that you’ve seen the name at the bottom of some of the emails you receive. Fear not, nothing extraordinary here, just a safe way to handle subscriber email addresses & send good looking newsletters.
I’ve also revamped the sign in options. I’m not trying to force you to sign in (but seriously, what are you waiting for?!). I’m simply trying to make it easier.
US address
If you’ve received my first Newsletter, you may notice that I have a nice address in Portland, Oregon. What? I thought you were in Luxembourg at the moment? I am! But I didn’t want to use my personal address.
Don’t judge me. I’ve seen people saying that if what you’re doing is legit, than you shouldn’t be afraid to give your real address. Well sorry, but that’s not the world we live in… And since I couldn’t open a PO box, I use viabox.com services to get an address. It is a real address, just not the one where I live.
Dear bloggers who still give as address like “1234 Blogging Paradise Street at Blog Heaven”, don’t do this! You know it’s illegal. Check out viabox.com, it’s free.
Society6
I’ve been on Society6 for a while now, but I’m having a hard time keeping up. You can check out my profile here: https://society6.com/MissCoco. Like many other things, it’s a work in progress!
But the news here, is that I’m going to try to keep up with it.
For now, if you’ve seen a picture on the blog which you would like me to add, just let me know.
On of my latest addition? This F@#k Unicorns, Be a Dragon mug!! And there is also a Mother of Dragons tote for the Game of Thrones lovers!
What will be coming soon?
I’m working on setting up Facebook Instant Articles. I’ll tell you more about it if I succeed!!
A new mini guide is in progress, it might or might not be about Paris…
And something Secret is coming …
Note to myself: Don’t forget to announce the winners of the post cards from Slovenia!!
Hope you enjoyed!
With lots of Love
That’s all for now, have a lovely week-end
and
don’t forget to go out and explore!
