A Road Trip in Cyprus
Chances are that you will arrive in Cyprus either at Lanarca or Paphos airport, where you will rent a car. Driving in Cyprus is easy, highways are really good and other roads are in good conditions too. Driving in the Troodos mountains is charming but these are mountains road so drive carefully and let locals pass you. Do I need to mention that you must drive on the left hand side, like in the UK?
Finding accommodations is also really easy for any budget and Booking is your friend! Some beach resorts are less than ideal in my opinion but there are some for every taste.
Best seasons for me to visit are spring and autumn, if you want to be able to visit all those places and not burn in the sun!
Overall, Cyprus is really an ideal destination where you will be able to enjoy a variety of activities. From historical places to beautiful hikes and relaxing beaches.

That depends on you but I think 2 weeks is a minimum to see all the things listed above.
Just to give you an idea, it took us a whole day to visit the painted churches of the Troodos mountains and we only found 3! But we had a great time. It was almost like a treasure hunt!

A mini guide about Roman Architecture
As you can see on the map, there are a lot of antique sites to visit in Cyprus. If you need a bit of help to visualize what those sites might have looked like centuries ago, I have created a mini guide about Roman Architecture which is the perfect companion for your trip to Cyprus!
With this Roman Architecture mini guide in your pocket, you will be able to identify Roman buildings and know what they looked like, even if there isn’t much of them left, today. Below you will see one of the 2 pages of this mini guide which includes all the most important Roman building types. This guide, (like all my other mini guides) is free to download.
